It was a cozy place with a beautiful lake view. The hotel rooms were in separate townhouses. Clean and nice with friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking and the breakfast was delicious with a wide selection. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi didn't work in my room but worked in other areas. Highly recommend this place. Additionally, there was a lovely cafe nearby that provided great take-away options for the morning, which I brought along for my clients.

Coming from South East England, Växjö seemed, very, very, very quiet. Quieter than a Sunday during the first lockdown in England. It was not unusual to see no cars on a main road. Växjö and Sweden as a whole is very well organised. Hardly any litter, no graffiti, everyone very polite. Most people spoke English and were eager to help if we needed help. The bus service is excellent, the timetables are accurate to the minute. If you like peace and quiet it's a good place to go. If you're looking for clubs and nightlife, Sweden is the wrong country for you.

The cathedral (domkyrkan) is outstanding, with magnificent etched glass, coloured glass, glass accents, befitting this little city in Sweden’s famous glass blowing district. The Småland Museum is also very good, with an excellent depiction of the history of glass blowing in Sweden. Its exhibition about wood is exceptional, too.
