Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.
Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.
From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.
In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.
Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.
Every thing was within walking distance
Lots of cultural events to go to
Just need more English signage for non French spoken
There was a lot of construction going on which made it difficult to get around
Not good for people with disabilities
Many steep stairs!

Wonderful people. Great food.
Wonderful people. Great food. I loved the Metro - fast clean and convenient. I got to practice my French language and when I stumbled I went right into English. The residents were courteous and patient. I plan to return. There were many restaurants we missed. We used Uber a few times. No problems. We went to a really neat farm market. We dined for lunch at the top of the RBC bank building - Sushi. View spectacular on the 46th floor. A favorite spot for dinner or drinks was the L'orignal at 479 St. Alexis Street Montreal. Sit at the bar. Michael the owner is a most unforgettable character.

Old Montreal is a safe, clean city with plenty to see and experience. We were able to easily walk to downtown and used the hop on hop off bus to see all the attractions. We took the Metro to see the biodome that we all enjoyed and did an all day bus trip to Quebec city that was wonderful.

Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city.
Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city. It exceeded my expectations. Getting around Montreal was quite easy. UBER is accessible and cost-effective and it is a walkable city.
Old Montreal is much like being in Europe and is worth the time.
I would avoid the Hop On/Hop Off and book a more informed overview of the city. The Aura light show at the Basilica is well worth the time and money and the Walking Tour of Old Montreal with Marie as a guide was terrific.
The rooms and generally the whole hotel was very clean, the gym and swimming pool are a very good option to have when unwinding. Breakfast was cooked well, although I did not have any option to get cereal as I did not see that on the menu, perhaps maybe I should have asked. That said, the taste of the breakfast food was on point, it was great. The location is excellent right in the downtown area, and a 10-15 min walk straight down to the main train station in Montreal, metro station, restaurants, shopping and not far from Mont Royal Park.
Great hotel, right off of Downtown Montreal, walking distance to the Old Port and Old Montreal. Easy access by public transport from the airport and the train station. I originally booked a room with 2 double beds but we got a room with 3 double beds which was awesome since we were 3 travellers. We arrived at the hotel around 9.30am, and although the check in wasn’t until later, they gave us the room right away as it was ready. Great for a couple of nights to explore the city.
We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Quartier Latin in Montreal.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing, especially Vito, who has provided a detailed direction for parking and has responded to all my questions. They were extremely accommodating and the service was exceptional as well. I have enjoyed a good quality coffee for breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Montréal.
This was our second time there. This time we went with our 9 and 17 year daughters. The hotel is multidimensional, meaning my wife and I could separate from the kids in the evening and enjoy a nightcap in the lounge. Or, the kids could explore the pool and facilities. This hotel is conveniently located next to a RESO( Underground city), St Catherine, and the rest of downtown and Old Montreal. Parking is also available on the premises.
I was in Montreal for a conference together with my family, thus the location of the hotel was quite convenient in walking distance around the main downtown and Old Port area. It has a small swimming pool, which was a great occupation on rainy days (for our 3 yo son). The breakfast area it can get really crowdy, but having a kitchen area in the apartment it can help in this sense, by having breakfast in the room.
The location is great and close to the old port and downtown Montreal. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good, especially the omelette station. The room was spacious and had a hot tub in it. The bed was comfortable. The room also had a kitchen, stove and fridge, which is convenient for someone who likes to cook their food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a weekend stay in Montreal.
Stayed for a night to visit my mom at the hospital and this is exceptionally located to both the Jewish General and Saint Mary's. The hotel is on busy Cote Des Neiges which is dotted with restaurants, and across the street from the bus line to get you downtown, or metro to access all of Montreal. The interior was such a pleasant surprise, quiet and spacious rooms. Very homey feeling.
This hotel is located in a good area, close to Metro Station and downtown Montreal. I really liked that the offer free drinks - water, juices and coffee / tea / hot chocolate any time of the day.
Parking across the street in the underground parking lot, for $12 per night.
The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
It is a new hotel. The room has all you need. Small but functional. Location is the the best close to the old city streets galleries coffee shops and restaurants. Takes you back to the vibes of 1967. The furniture the music the phone are reproducing the feel and style of 1967 the Montreal Expo. Personal is exceptional and friendly.
The hotel was beautiful! Very nice rooms and lobby. Our room was on the smaller side; however, it was the perfect size for my friend and I. Location was pretty good! From the hotel to downtown Montreal it was a 10ish minute walk and 5 minute walk to Via Rail. Would definitely stay here again!
I love the location as its right in the heart of downtown Montreal. All you need to do is step out and you're on St Catherine's, very very lively. If you choose to stay in, the hotel is connected to the complex Desjardins, it's a nice Mall, lots of stores , food court, banks... etc
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Montreal. It is very accessible to shopping and restaurants with Colombus Coffee around the corner and a breakfast place across the road. The bus to the airport is located a 1 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel's location is fantastic, situated in the heart of downtown Montreal with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants and vibrant neighborhoods. The amenities provided ensured a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Ideally located on Sherbrooke avenue, this hotel offers good value for money in downtown Montreal. Staff is friendly. My bedroom was very large (studio with small kitchen and sizeable bedroom with two large double beds).
The hotel was very convenient for walking around downtown Montreal. The room was spacious and loved the fridge/stove/utensils. The breakfast was wonderful, it had everything you needed for a filling breakfast.
The Location of the hotel is primarily the best thing which it offers along with it’s low and Economical Budget options Downtown Montreal Area.
Definately recommended for Economical Budget or short stays
Great location within walking distance to Chinatown and downtown Montreal. Apartment-style hotel and the space is larger than expected. Well-equipped with full kitchen. Friendly staff. Walking distance.
The hotel was equidistant between old Montreal and downtown so we didn’t need to use our car. The staff was wonderful and the room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it.
