L'InterContinental Real Santo Domingo est situé dans le centre-ville de Santo Domingo, dans le quartier de Piantini, juste en face du centre Acropolis et à 700 mètres du centre commercial Blue. I loved the fact that upon arrival the reception handled us very fast. We had a baby with us and the room with King-size bed was not ready so we were offered a room with 2 beds. After reviewing and coming to conclusion that its too small for us, we were still able to get the King-size bedroom. Reception was very professional. Antigen test was immediately organized for our departure, the bellboys were very helpful guiding the way when we asked for the correct direction outside hotel, also upon departure luggage was picked up superfast and car was already waiting for us to bring us to the airport. Furthermore it was extremely helpful that we could use the business centre. The breakfast was outstanding and also we checked both of the restaurants, very good quality and service.

This hotel goes straight to my top 5 places I've ever stayed. I've traveled a lot over the years, and stayed at cheap hostels, as well as more expensive hotels. I think Villa Colonial is just amazing and unique. First, when I arrived I was offered something to drink, showed around the hotel and told about the architecture and art. When the bossguy (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name!) took me to my room, the first thing I noticed was a clean and fresh smell. Towels and sheets smelled so good, and everything was very clean. There was a tray full of local goods, like rum, nuts, sweets and a welcome note. Over the stay, the room was very cozy and the bed with the big pillows so comfortable. I think I got a different room than I booked (not complaining), and I had my private balcony, which was a cool touch. I was going trough a hard time personally and didn't actually leave the room much, so I'm glad I chose this hotel, because it was the perfect place to just recharge, chill and be in peace. The hotel itself was a beautiful colonial building full of art, plants and nice sofas to sink to during the days. The front door was locked all the time, and I felt very safe. The breakfast was delicious with good coffee, and all the employees were super friendly and helpful. The one day I went out, bossguy gave me good tips where to go to. Altogether he seemed genuinely interested and empathetic about his guests and running the hotel. You are a gem, thank you!
